The winners will be announced in Seattle WA on June 27-29 during the Locus Awards Weekend.
From what little I've read or discussed with others, I don't have many picks for most the categories. However, I do have a couple to offer. Although I enjoyed Ancillary Justice, my preference for first novel would be The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker. For fantasy novel, River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay was a great sequel to Under Heaven and was much better than my experiences with Doctor Sleep and Republic of Thieves (IMO). Abaddon's Gate is the only one of out of the Science Fiction Novel finalists I've read so I have no basis for comparison, but on it's own I quite enjoyed it. The same goes for the novellas, of which The Princess and the Queen is the only one I've read; it was a nice insight (albeit concise) into the events that have a strange resemblance to the current ASOIAF plotline. Looking forward to seeing what the votes turn out.
